Matthew Hardy
"Rapidly turning into a major stand-up star" - Time Out
In 1992 Matthew Hardy was voted Melbourne's best new comic, an endorsement so important that he promptly left and came to England.
Since his arrival he has certainly established himself as a hot act on the national comedy circuit. Within three months he was working at The Comedy Store and soon progressed to playing at Jongleurs and all the major clubs on circuit.
He is the only stand-up to have performed at Soho's legendary jazz venue, Ronnie Scott's and is a regular compere at the infamous Up The Creek in Greenwich.
Matt combines his experience as a 'drunk lad on the pull' with an unerring ability to wear the worst jackets in the UK and a very nice line in dark tales of his weird childhood.
A former shark fisherman, Matt is suitably qualified for corporate occasions. He has appeared at the Gilded Balloons' notoriously cut-throat "Late N' Live" and succeeded where others fear to tread! He won over one of the most demanding audiences in the country.
