Smug Roberts

Smug is a stand-up, a character actor, writer and force of nature. He is currently starring in Channel 4's new prison drama Buried. His other TV credits include Cold Feet, Phoenix Nights ,Clocking Off and the BBC sketch show The In Crowd. In 2001 he starred in Michael Winterbottom's film 24 Hour Party People alongside Steve Coogan.
In 1998 he rocked the airwaves as his alter ego Grandad Roberts with the Meat Pie Sausage Roll song. In 2000 he tore the house down at the Manchester Comedy Store's opening night. Despite his extensive list of TV credits Smug still performs live regularly around the country where you can catch him engaging in his own particular brand of Smugness.
